Sébastien produced 14 barrels of the stunning 2013 Malconsorts. Not surprisingly, lying at the foot of La Tache this comes across like a Grand Cru and comparatively it has an extra dimension to most other top Vosne Premier Crus. It has beguiling perfume of dark cherries, raspberries, spices and violets. It has great concentration yet it is not heavy in anyway and though the fruit is rich, the texture screams finesse and elegance. For me this was one of the wines of the tasting.
