We have an outstanding selection of wines from the greatest climats of Chambolle Musigny.

Les Amoureuses is without doubt one of the finest vineyards in Burgundy and is recognised as producing wines that are equal in quality to top Grand Crus. The wines are gorgeous, sharing many of the qualities of its bigger sibling Musigny with the focus on seductive aromas and silky elegant textures. It is a small vineyard covering just 5.4ha and lies to the north-east corner down-slope from Musigny in the direction of Vougeot. Top selections include a trio of fantastic vintages from Roumier (2002, 05 & 10) and Comtes de Vogue (2001, 05 & 08). The Mugnier 2006 & 2009 are excellent combing flavours and elegant textures with the 09 being riper and richer, though both have plenty of upside from here.  The 1995 Drouhin is pretty and all about elegance whereas the 2002 Groffier by contrast has more power and weight. The 2007 from Bertheau is beautifully balanced combining the very best elements of Les Amoureuses.

Bonnes Mares covers just a touch over 15ha with the vast majority in Chambolle Musigny and just over 1.5ha in Morey Saint Denis, lying to the south of Clos de Tart. Bonnes Mares tends to be larger framed, with more tannin and power compared with most wines from Chambolle Musigny. Here we have bottles from top domains Dujac, Mugnier, Comte de Vogue along with a rare gem from d’Auvenay.

Musigny is without doubt one of the world’s greatest vineyards producing sublime wines that are rarely matched anywhere. The vineyard covers a total of just under 10.4ha and though the vast majority of the vineyard is planted with Pinot Noir, 0.66ha is planted with Chardonnay. Musigny is very much the story of Comte de Vogue who with 7.1ha own almost 70% of this hallowed vineyard including all the Chardonnay vines. The trio of Drouhin are from the fabulous 1990, 93 & 96 vintages all giving great pleasure now and for years to come. Both the 1988 and 1996 from Vogue are outstanding with the 1988 recently awarded 99pts from Decanter and at 36 years old it remains relatively full, generous and stylish. Though ready to drink it will deliver pleasure for a number of years. In similar fashion, the 1996 is ready to go, though will remain at its peak for many years and combines beautiful complexity and balance. The 2005 Jadot comes from their minuscule 0.13ha holding and is a phenomenal, rich and powerful example, but really needs a few more years before it reaches its perfect drinking plateau.
