Comtes Lafon

Comtes Lafon is seen as crafting some of the world’s greatest Chardonnay. The history of the Domain stretches back to 1869, but it was the arrival of Dominique Lafon in 1984, taking over from his father that the estate enterered its renaissance. At that time, most of the vineyards were leased out and by 1993, all vineyards were brought back into the full control of the Domaine.

The Estate covers just over 16 hectares, the majority in Meursault including plots in the top Premier Crus of Perrieres, Genevrieres, Boucheres, Charmes, Porusots and Goutte d’Or. Lafon also has a 0.31 hectare parcel in Montrachet, producing around 1,500 bottles a year. All Lafon’s vineyards were converted to organic viticulture in 1995 and bio-dynamic in 1998.

We are delighted to offer a small range of outstanding wines from Comtes Lafon including a single bottle of Montrachet.
