Anne Gros inherited this small Domaine with now just 6.5ha in 1988 from her father Francois including parcels in Richebourg (0.6ha), Clos Vougeot (0.93ha) where the wines average 90 years old and Echezeaux (0.76ha) which Anne took over in 2007.
Anne has developed the reputation as one of the finest and most respected vignerons in a village that is not exactly short of stellar estates. There is a strong focus on dedicated work in the vineyards with respect for each vineyard and individual terroir.
The wines are an incredible combination of elegance and purity with seductive textures along with possessing phenomenal depth. To me over the portfolio, these were the most accomplished of the tasting.
