| Another contender for wine of the latter part of the 20th Century. This started as a difficult growing season and resulted in a very late harvest and a much reduced crop rescued by virtually non-stop sunshine from after the 20th August. The wines are rich and consistent showing considerable finesse and harmony. |

| Undoubtedly, a great year for the reds showing rich, expressive flavours combined with considerable finesse and elegance though with sufficient tannic structure to ensure that the best are still drinking well now. |

| The whites had a similar success combining rich, ripe fruits with firm acidity and for a long time showed very well. Obviously, as they start to move towards 40 years old there are only a few that are really able to deliver great pleasure today. |
