| Coming between the very good 69’s and then 1971’s the 1970’s were always going to be a bit of a hard sell. Prices at the Hospices de Beaune hit a record high in 1970 and in fact the harvest was the largest on record at the time. The wines suffered from lacking any real concentration and it is unlikely that any provide serious enjoyment now. |
